And the Rest is Noise
Even if it's not summertime when you page through this collection of interviews and musings on Pitchfork Music Festival, our students' writing will have you living within the festival, packed in close to a stage in anticipation, too close to sweaty strangers but loving the music anyway. Led by Chicago Reader staff writer Leor Galil, eight students joined our Teen Press Corps and had the unique opportunity to interview some of their favorite acts — like Neon Indian and Digable Planets — at the July 2016 festival. Their well-prepared questions and unstoppable curiousity led to some stellar Q&A's with performing acts. Students also wrote personal essays and experimental pieces considering the overall experience at one of Chicago's dearest (and tragically hippest) music festivals.
